    Study on talents cultivation of pediatrician the background of healthy China construction

    Based on universal two-child policy and the construction of healthy China, this article analyzed present situation and existed problems of cultivation of pediatrics talents. A new cultivation model was put forward based on innovation on the system and mechanism, to respond to new requirements of the society. This model included disciplinary construction, high-level teacher training,excellent teaching materials, strengthening international practice and focusing on medical humanistic education.

    Research on obstacles to later-period teaching in regional medical colleges and corresponding countermeasures

    Later-period teaching is an important part of undergraduate teaching. However, due to the impact and shock of various factors, there are many troubles which always influence the teaching work in local medical colleges and universities. According to the questionnaires and interview research from 652 graduates in 10 majors including clinical medicine and pharmacy of Jining Medical University, and 41 teachers, practice teachers, teaching management personnel, counselors etc., our research group bring forward the institutional reform of postgraduate entrance exams and formulate positive employment policy for graduates. At the same time, the research group sets up scientific views on human resources and change our old views to meet the needs of postgraduate entrance exams and teaching reform. The research group also explores new teaching methods and enhances students' learning interests and consciousness of self-discipline by giving them some resolution strategies and suggestions.

    The discussion of motivation model of medical student major choice based on grounded theory

    In order to further optimize talent training model and make medical student better form professional identification, Qiqihar Medical University studied the motivation of medical students major choice before entrance. Through open-ended questionnaire asking students why they choose medicine, a survey was conducted on motivation of major choice for 1207 students. Based on grounded theory, the software named CAQDAS Nvivo11 was used to conduct Level 3 code analysis. Through the study, it was found that motivation models of medical student major choice can mainly be divided into five types: blind choice model, utilitarian model, obedience model, hobby model and self-actualization model.Through analysis for different motivations, the university will conduct particular education for different students, helping them transform motivation into learning power. Meanwhile, the research result can provide theoretical foundation for higher medical education reform.

    Objective To investigate employment settings and talent demand of medical laboratory technology program in higher vocational colleges for providing the basis for reform of talents training model.Methods The professional post setting and demand questionnaire on medical laboratory technology program were designed for investigating clinical laboratory of 19 third-grade medical institutions, 21 basic medical institutions and 8 biotech companies in Sichuan.Results The job position of clinical testing and fluids, biochemistry, immunology, hematology and microbiology set up completely in third-grade medical institutions and biotech companies. From 2013 to 2016, demand of personnel in clinical laboratory in basic medical institutions showed a trend of decreasing year by year. The talent demand is increasing in biotech companies year by year.Conclusions The employment direction of medical laboratory technology in higher vocational colleges is supposed to transform from medical institutions to biotech companies.

    Investigation on the requirements of college geriatric nursing talents and its corresponding educational plan

    Objective Make a survey across hospitals, community health care center, and nursing homes in Zhejiang Province, on the requirements for college geriatric nursing students number, knowledge structure, course setting, skill and ability, to refine the corresponding educational plan.Methods A questionnaire was carried out with a self-designed “Questionnaire on geriatric nursing talents education” across 40 hospitals, 45 nursing homes, 198 community health care centers.Results There is large requirements on college geriatric nursing talents. College geriatric nursing students should have comparatively all-around knowledge structure; special contents such as long-term nursing should be added. Meanwhile, college geriatric nursing students should grasp seven core skills, including effective communication skill, urgent contingency handling skill, etc. Nearly 2/3 of those polled are inclined to recruit students majoring in geriatric nursing.Conclusions Based on the requirements from hospitals, communities, and nursing homes, medical schools should adjust the educational plan for geriatric nursing, to comply with the trend of an aging society.

    According to teaching program of medical microbiology, parasitology and epidemiology that opened for five-year medical student, the repeated teaching contents in disciplines that related to infectious disease prevention and control were analyzed. After the curriculum reorganization, the integrative course teaching plan and teaching method were formulated. Teaching contents of preventive medicine and medical humanities for infectious diseases were permeated. The course was offered in the second semester of the second year of the university, reaching the goal of the early practice and early clinical exposure, improving the students' voluntary learning ability and interest. The course provided a thorough grounding for the following bridge course and clinical course, gradually cultivates students' clinical competency.

    Study on the geriatric education for medical undergraduates and their preferences for geriatric medical services in China

    Objective To analyze geriatric medical education for medical undergraduate students and its effects.Methods Mainly based on stratified cluster random sampling, a self-administered questionnaire survey of 2333 medical undergraduates was conducted in 9 medical colleges and universities.Results Among respondents who studied geriatric medical knowledge, 83.8% (1622/1935)of them deemed that health services for the elderly were quite or somewhat different from those for the common population, which was higher than that for those who did not studied geriatric medical knowledge (77.3%) (308/398). 11.3% (45/398)of respondents who did not studied geriatric medical knowledge were unwilling to provide health services for the elderly, which was higher than that for those who studied geriatric medical knowledge (7.5%)(145/1935). Those who were unwilling to choose a career in geriatric medicine accounted for 27.1% (308/398)among those who did not study geriatric medical knowledge, which was obviously higher than that for those who studied geriatric medical knowledge (17.3%)(334/1935).Conclusions Geriatric medical education is likely to improve medical undergraduates' perception of geriatric medicine and enhance their preferences to provide the elderly with medical services and choose a career in geriatric medicine.

    The curriculum of medical ethics cultivation has strong characteristics of guidance and practice which has to be achieved through the combination of practice, thinking and knowledge. Beijing Tongren Hospital affiliated to the Capital Medical University attemped to apply the five-star teaching model on the medical ethics cultivation courses. On the basis of activating the original knowledge and focusing on the issues that need to be addressed, the new knowledge was demonstrated. By case studying, practicing, and trainee class, the practice was applied to achieve the purpose of stimulating the enthusiasm of medical students and improving the practical teaching result of medical ethics cultivation course effectively.

    Quantitative evaluation ethical perception analysis and argument ability of medical postgraduates based on an example about uterine transplantation

    Objective To investigate the capacity of medical postgraduates' ethical analysis and the method of quantitative statistical analysis about bioethical case.Methods The ethical issues raised in uterine transplantation was taken into consideration. Self-designed questionnaire and quantitative statistical method is used to codify and analyze 340 medical postgraduates' written response about ethical perception of the uterine transplantation.Results There were 72.4%(246/340)students who held the supportive attitude toward the uterus transplantation, and had better understood about the ethical principles such as informed consent, max-benefit and min-risk. Logistic multivariate analysis found that the object who had realized the benefits of uterine transplantation and a higher degree of awareness about similar transplant was more likely to support the case. However, those who had the awareness of the probable risks during surgery were more likely to be opposed to it.Conclusions The investigated medical postgraduates had the basic level of ethical perception, meanwhile further improve was essential. Quantitative analysis was accurate method to evaluate medical students' ethical ability, and provided scientific basis for the teaching improving. However, further exploration of the measurement tools was necessary in the future.

    Investigation and countermeasure analysis on the job burnout of teachers in medical university

    Objective To understand the situation of medical university teachers' job burnout and influence factors, then puts forward corresponding countermeasures.Methods 300 teachers were chosen to survey, the results were analyzed and the countermeasures were discussed.Results The teachers' average score of Maslach Burnout Inventory was (2.29±0.32), indicating a certain degree of job burnout phenomenon. Emotional exhaustion was relatively severe by fractional dimension. The key factors that influence the job burnout were work seniority and whether to undertake clinical work.Conclusions A certain degree of burnout phenomenon is widespread among the medical universities teachers. This phenomenon has differences with the different demographic characteristics. Effective measures should be taken to prevent and alleviate job burnout.

    Objective To understand the status of study engagement and professional adaptability of Chinese medical college students, and to explore their relevance, and measures of improve teaching efficiency and academic achievement.Methods The research object is undergraduate students of Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Stratified random cluster sampling was used, choose 700 undergraduate from grade 2013 to 2016 major in traditional Chinese medicine and acupuncture, and grade 2014 to 2016 major in pharmacy and nursing to conduct a questionnaire survey, using learning input and professional adaptability scale, the data was analyzed by descriptive statistics, independent samples t test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson correlation analysis and multivariate linear regression analysis.Results There were 599 effective questionnaire had been acquire. The mean scores of study engagement and professional adaptability was (3.17±0.68) and(2.86±0.53), respectively. The adaptability of acupuncture and massage professional students is the highest(116.51±14.98), nursing students is lowest(104.42±17.05). Professional learning motivation and behavior and self-efficacy dimension of professional adaptability have positive prediction to study engagement (r=0.611, P<0.01).Conclusions The levels of study engagement and professional adaptability are all in the medium and there is a positive correlation between the two variable. So, students could understand the program to improve their professional occupation desire and enthusiasm and to improve the professional adaptability.The higher of the professional adapted of students is helpful to improve the level of learning engagement and the learning quality.

    Approach to the intervening education on psychological health status of nursing students before practice

    Objective To explore the practical effects of intervention education on improving the mental health status of nursing students before practice.Methods All 216 nursing undergraduates of grade 2012 were selected and divided into experimental group and control group according to the class, 110 and 106 per group respectively. To investigate the anxiety, depression and psychological pressure of the nursing students one months before practice by questionnaire, and carry out the intervention education to experimental group for one month according to the sources of psychological pressure of nursing students. And to comparative analysis the influence effect of intervention education on psychological health status of nursing students before practice.Results The psychological health status of nursing students were poorer than the non-practice. Compared with the control group, the mental health status of nursing students in the intervention group were significantly improved (t=4.841, P<0.01), which had obvious statistical significance.Conclusions The mental health of nursing undergraduates is not good before practice, they had great psychological pressures. The intervention education was helpful to improve the mental health of nursing students. Nursing educators should pay attention to the psychological health of nursing students before practice, and actively explore the countermeasures to improve the health of nursing students.

    Early scientific research training in the frame of undergraduate tutorial system is an important component of teaching reform at military medical university. To evaluate the current situation of undergraduates' early scientific research training at the Fourth Military Medical University, four-year, five-year, and eight-year undergraduates with different majors were enrolled in an anonymous, cross-sectional, self-administered questionnaire. The aims of this survey are to analyze the major issues and influencing factors on early scientific research among military medical students, and to explore the countermeasures in this regard. The present study would provide not only insights into perceptions, attitudes and barriers towards extracurricular research, but also basis for deepening the process of education and teaching reform, enhancing the undergraduates' research ability and creative spirit, and training all -round development of high quality military medical professionals.

    Based on the course characteristic of English for specific purposes(ESP) and the advantage of online multimedia technology, this article showed the theoretical basis of using the online autonomous learning in ESP teaching. Through the questionnaire designed by ourselves, a study was conducted on the medical students' attitude to the online autonomous learning, the demand of medical English online resources and the ability of finding online resources. According to the theoretical basis and the results of the questionnaire, all of the learning resources were classified and choosed. Then the structure of the Self-learning Platform of Medical English was constructed, and the teaching way of combining online autonomous learning and classroom learning had been studied.

    Objective English for Academic Purposes (EAP) has become an essential tool for medical students. The key to successful EAP teaching is to identify students' needs and difficulties in learning EAP vocabulary. The current study aimed to determine these needs and difficulties using an experimental approach.Methods The needs and difficulties were analyzed by the basic principles and methods of English for Specific Purposes (ESP), including surveys, interviews and tests. A total of 50 students who specialize in clinical medicine and have passed CET-6 were selected as the subjects.Results Questionnaires, interviews and tests revealed that sub-technical words and semi-terms comprise the needs and difficulties of students.Conclusions Teachers should spend more time in training these two types of words and modulate their approaches accordingly. These findings may help improve the effect of EAP teaching, thus benefiting medical students in international academic exchanges.

    Objective To study the feasibility and effects of integrated basic medicine teaching method.Methods The study choose 761 high vocational nursing students in grade 2013 as study object, the students were randomly divided into 7 classes, integrated basic medicine course was taken in class 1, 2, 3 and 4 which is experiment group, while traditional course was taken in class 5,6 and 7 which is control group. A survey was conducted among students, basic medicine teachers and specialized teachers. Academic scored was analyzed between experiment group and control group.Results The examination scores of experiment group were higher than that of the control group. The abilities of establishing systematic knowledge of basic medicine, self-learning and comprehensive analysis of experimental group were much better than that of control group. The difference was significant.Conclusions Teaching effects of integrated basic medicine teaching method is better than traditional teaching method and is worth promoting.

    Comparison between the problem-based learning and the bedside-based learning in the teaching of neurologic interns under the model of electronic medical record

    Objective To compare the teaching effect of neurologic interns between the problem-based learning (PBL) and bedside-based learning (BBL) methods under the model of electronic medical record (EMR).Methods From January 2014 to December 2014, the neurologic interns in the department of neurology of the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou Medical University were randomly assigned to experimental group (n=35)and control group (n=33). The PBL and BBL methods were respectively used to teach the interns in two groups. After the experiment, a comparison was performed between the two groups with respect to the scores of clinical thinking, EMR writing and the patients' satisfaction questionnaire, as reflects the humanistic quality of the interns.Results After the trial, the scores of clinical thinking (P= 0.020), EMR writing (P=0.001) and the total (P=0.001) in experimental group were respectively significantly higher than those in the control group; the sore of patients' satisfaction questionnaire was as well significantly higher in experimental group than those in control group (P=0.016).Conclusions PBL is more effective than BBL on the training of clinical comprehensive quality to neurologic interns under the model of EMR, deserving to be popularized.

    The research of problem-based learning method combined with evidence-based medicine in cardiovascular clinical practice teaching

    Objective To compare effects of the problem-based learning method combined with evidence-based medicine(EBM)and the conventional learning method in cardiovascular clinical teaching practice.Methods Totally 106 internship students studied in the Cardiology Department of The First Hospital of Xi'an Jiaotong University from May 2013 to August 2016 were randomly divided into the PBL combined with EBM Group (n=56) and CL Group (n=50); PBL teaching method and conventional teaching method were adopted to introduce the cardiovascular evidence-based medicine. Inspection standards were medical cases analysis, satisfaction survey from students of the teaching process, EBM awareness questionnaire scores. Comprehensive evaluation was made in teaching effect of two kinds of teaching methods.Results Compared with the CL group, PBL combined with EBM Group had satisfied exam results, students grasped the medical diagnosis and treatment of common diseases of cardiology, PBL combined with evidence-based medicine group had a higher satisfaction of teaching process, students believed their literature searching skills, ability to detect clinical problems, clinical problem solving ability had been improved.Conclusions PBL combined with EBM teaching should be adopted in the practice of clinical teaching. It can improve students' ability of learning and can give a great help, it can let students quickly master the knowledge of cardiology in a short period, to stimulate learning initiative, increase the learning interaction.

    Implementation of Sandwich model in surgery teaching

    Objective To investigate the teaching effects of Sandwich teaching model in clinical teaching in the department of general surgery.Methods Totally 50 clinical medicine undergraduates were divided into the experimental group(n=25) and the control group(n=25) randomly.Sandwich teaching model was introduced to the experimental group while traditional teaching model was performed in the control group.The performances in theoretical and clinical reasoning tests were compared between the two groups, and the questionnaire investigation were also conducted and evaluated after the course.Results The clinical reasoning test score of the experimental group were higher than the control group (t=9.539,P<0.01), while the theoretical examination scores of two groups showed no significant difference(t=1.888,P>0.05). Questionnaire investigation showed that the students, commutation and expression ability, attention focusing and self learning willingness were better in the experimental group, but the students in the control group grasped the learning points better and had better feeling of class hour arrange, the difference was statistically significant (all P<0.05).Conclusions Sandwich teaching model can effectively improve students' interest in self-learning and clinical thinking ability, and worth be recommending in general surgery clinical teaching.

    Preliminary application combine lecture-based learning and Workshop teaching model in oral digital technology

    Objective To apply lecture-based learning and Workshop teaching model to digital dentistry graduate student course in a preliminary attempt, to explore a new teaching model combining with lecture-based learning (LBL) and Workshop, and to evaluate the feasibility and effect of the new teaching model.Methods Class 2014 stomatology,23 graduate students in Peking University School of Stomatology were involved in this study. All the students accepted a combined teaching method of LBL+ Workshop, two questionnaires were given to each student respectively after theory lesson and workshop practice lesson. A self-control study was carried out to evaluate the teaching effect, and a satisfaction survey was implemented after the whole course.Results Comparing with single LBL teaching method, LBL+ Workshop teaching model had better teaching effect in digital dentistry course with enhanced learning interests and motivation. Result of self-control study show that teaching effect of the new model has increased significantly, the students' satisfaction of the new model is better, the improvement of low-seniority students is more obviously.Conclusions The new integrated teaching model that combined with LBL and Workshop could obtain better effect than traditional LBL teaching method in digital dentistry graduate student course.This teaching model can be tried to undergraduate teaching.

    Objective To investigate the effect of case-based learning based on WeChat public platform in standardized training of diabetes link nurse.Methods An experimental control method was used. 56 diabetes link nurses under standardized training program in the third affiliated hospital of Sun Yet-sen University from June 2015 and June 2016 were randomized into experimental group and control group. The experimental group was taught by case-based learning based on WeChat public platform, and the control group was taught by traditional teaching method. The effect of different training methods on diabetes link nurses' comprehensive ability was analyzed.Results The diabetes knowledge scores in experimental group were significantly higher than those in the control group (t=9.52,P<0.01).The scores of insulin injection skill in experimental group were significantly higher than those in the control group (t=7.23,P<0.01).The scores of glucose monitoring skill in experimental group were significantly higher than those in the control group (t=11.93,P<0.01). The patient management, specialized performance, specialist guidance, teamwork and feedback of experimental group were significantly superior to those in the control group(all P<0.01).Conclusions Case-based learning based on WeChat public platform improved the diabetic knowledge, specialized operating performance and management behavior, which is worthy of further exploration and promotion.

    Exploration and practice of new model of “Five in One” surgical clinical skills training

    Objective To explore training effect of medical students with new model of “Five In One” surgical clinical skills training.Methods 310 seven-year program medical students specializing in clinical medicine in grade 2010 and 2009 as surgery residencies from Dalian Medical University the First Clinical College were randomized into the experiment group and the control group. The students from the experiment group received “Five in One” surgical clinical skills training, and those from the control group received the traditional training, and two group of students were tested byObjective structured clinical examination (OSCE) to evaluate the teaching effect of different teaching modes. In addition, to analyze acceptance of the new training model, the students from the experiment group needed to complete a feedback survey.Results After training, surgical basic skills including suture, ligation, dressing change and so on in the experiment group compared with the control group were improved more significantly, and the differences in scoring above were all statistically significant. Survey results showed that the medical students of the experiment group generally agreed that the new training model could effectively improve medical students' learning interest and initiative, raise the level of skills and improve ability of solving problem and communication with patient and colleagues.Conclusions The new model of “Five In One” surgical clinical skills training can significantly improve the ability of medical students' surgical clinical skills, be accepted widely by the medical students and has promotional value.

    Objective To analyze patients' satisfaction and approval to stomatology interns, and find out the necessary influential factors of patients' needs.Methods 324 of 400 patients visited Peking University Hospital of Stomatology were asked to fill in a questionnaire and interviewed briefly about satisfaction and approval to stomatology interns. The result of the interview was systematically arranged for a qualitative research.Results 3 unique patterns which patients concern most were found: the clinical instructions, the expression of interns' confidence, the skill of communication.Conclusions As a result of various factors, some patients are still worrying about stomatology interns. Patients emphasize more on skill and quality of stomatology interns. Measures should be carried out for the development of stomatology interns

    Objective To provide a basis for formulating the content of clinical practice of evidence-based medicine course through investigating the basic situation in the training of the resident physician.Methods Resident physician were investigated who came to Peking University Third Hospital in 9th 2015 through the questionnaire.Results (1)120 questionnaires were sent and 112 efficient copies were recalled. The recovery rate is 93.3%. Resident physician were divided into two groups according to whether they took the theoretical course of evidence-based medicine or not. Group A had a total 72 physicians who had taken the theoretical course of evidence-based medicine, and group B had a total 40 physicians who had not. The differences about the literature retrieval and strategy between the two groups was compared. (1) There was no significant difference about literature retrieval activity, language used to search literature, common retrieval tools between the two groups. The residents in group A prefer to read guideline, review and high quality research, meanwhile, residents in group B prefer to read guideline, review, textbooks. The proportion of waiting for instructions from superior doctors in group B(10.0%) is higher than group A(1.4%). (3) The proportion of reading bilingual guideline in group A(54.2%) is higher than group B(40%). On the contrary, the proportion of reading Chinese guideline only in group B(52.5%) is higher than group A(36.1%). The situation and frequency in both groups are similar.Conclusions The learning of evidence-based medicine theory course improves the awareness of active retrieval literature to some extent. However, there is a gap between the theory and clinical practice. It is urgent to build a bridge course to combine them.

    Objectives To explore the effect of using evidence-based medical(EBM)methodologies in resident standardized training.Methods Senventy-six residents who participated in the resident standardied training at Fengyang Hospital of Shanxi Province were randomly divided into experimental group and control group by computer. Using traditional teaching in control group and increase the training of evidence-based medicine methodology in experimental group. After 11 months training, anonymous questionnaire survey on the teaching outcomes was conducted through the internal network platform of the hospital. Finally questionnaires were collected from the experimental group (n=37)and the control group(n=34).Results There was no statistical difference(P>0.05) between the two groups in the knowledge of EBM, their involvement experience in scientific research work, publishing scientific research papers, reading professional manuals, using of online Chinese and foreign database, etc. Compared with control group, the experimental group performed better in learning enthusiasm, learning interest, working interest, problem analysis abilities, self-learning abilities, information acquisition abilities, abilities in choosing literatures, etc,and there were statistical difference(all P<0.05). However, there was no statistical difference in the combination between theories and clinical practices and in team collaboration(P>0.05).Conclusions EBM methodologies using in resident standardized training is helpful to raise the enthusiasm and learning interest and to improve self-learning abilities, information acquisition abilities and abilities in choosing literatures, etc. However, it takes more time and energy than traditional teaching and need to be further improvement.

    Application of palliative care in training of resident physicians for humanistic medicine

    Objective To discuss the application of palliative care in the training of resident physicians for humanistic medicine.Methods Resident physician who has standardized trained in Beijing Chaoyang Hospital was invited in this study. 46 cases were in this study, then, were randomized to two groups, experiment group (n=23) and control group (n=23). The experimental group was given a course of palliative care, and the control group was given a regular resident training program for internal medicine. All the cases had the medical humanities skills test and questionnaire.Results It was found that the result of the medical humanities skill's examination in the experiment group were higher than that in the control group (all P<0.05), Through the questionnaire, we found that the students focused in the medical humanities, practical ability to improve doctor-patient communication, and better deal with dying patients project than the control group, with the high satisfaction.Conclusions Palliative care teaching and practice in the training of resident physicians could improve the humanistic medical skills.

    Difficulties and countermeasures of standardized training of nuclear medicine residents

    In order to improve the quality of standardized training for resident doctors in nuclear medicine, we analyzed the difficulties encountered in the Peking University People's Hospital. The understanding of radionuclide tracing technique and the transformation of thinking model are both very difficult. The teaching levels of all the guidance teachers are not unified. Some typical teaching casesc are incomplete. And the training effect is difficult to maintain after leaving the nuclear medicine. In view of the above difficulties, some corresponding solutions were used. For exanple, focus on the interpretation and training of radionuclide tracer techniques, focus on the training of residents in the transformation of thinking model, use a variety of methods to improve the teaching level, and provide continuous training for residents through the “nuclear medicine resident training” WeChat public number. Various measures have improved the quality of standardized residency training.

    Objective To analyze the results and the influence factors of the 1st stage assessment of the candidates of Xuanwu Hospital after the combination of the residents standardized training and the postgraduate education of professional degree.Methods Statistically analyze the assessment results of the candidates including the residents and professional degree graduates in the 2015 residents' 1st stage assessment of Beijing.Results No significant differences of the theory, skill and overall assessment were found between the professional graduates and residents. But the pass rates of the theoretical and overall assessment of the professional graduates were higher than that of the residents', while the skill assessment was equal.Conclusions The skill levels of the two groups are equal, but the theoretical level of the residents is lower than that of the graduates. The management department should take effective measures to improve the residents' theoretical level.

    Objective To analyze and evaluate the final examination papers on Pediatrics in our 2012 grade undergraduates specializing in clinical medicine. Find out the teaching problems and bring forward some countermeasures to improve the effects and qualities of pediatric teaching.Methods Excel 2007 and SPSS 19.0 were used to analyze the examination paper and score of Pediatrics for 115 students.Results The distribution of the scores shows skew distribution, with the mean score being 63.7, the standard deviation 13.1, and the paper reliability was 0.87. The degree of difficulty (P value) of single-choice question, noun explanation, short-answer, question and clinical case analysis was 0.71, 0.53, 0.58 and 0.56, respectively. The discrimination of single-choice question, noun explanation, short-answer, question and clinical case analysis was 0.28, 0.36, 0.40 and 0.36, respectively.Conclusions The results show that the examination paper was reliable with comprehensive test items, moderate difficulty and reasonable score distribution. The analysis was helpful to assess the fairness of the exam and revealed some problems of the students and teaching. It provides some experience on how to upgrade the level of test paper preparation and helps to trigger the reflection of teaching workers. What is more, it plays a great role in improving the teaching quality.

    Application of Mini-CEX on improving the post competency of internship nursing students

    Objective To make discussion on the application effects of Mini-CEX(Mini-Clinical Evaluation Exercise,Mini-CEX)used in the clinical practice patterns of baccalaureate nursing students,in order to improve the post competency of baccalaureate nursing students and the teaching quality of clinical nursing practice.Methods To select 120 undergraduate nursing students which are divided into two groups randomly in top three level hospitals of Jinzhou city, Liaoning Province in 2016. Students in matched group were taught with traditional pattern of “master instructing apprentice” for clinical practice teaching, but students in experimental group were taught both by the traditional clinical practice and the Mini-CEX teaching patterns. Contrastive analysis the students comprehensive test scores on the post competency of the two groups after clinical nursing practice.Results The scores of students in experimental group are all higher than those in matched group, mainly on seven dimensions of assistant roles, education guidance, diagnosis function, management function, treatment intervention, quality guarantee and job roles, and there are statistical significance on the difference.Conclusions Mini-CEX could make good help on improving the post competency of nursing students, and it is worth to be applied widely in clinical nursing practice teaching.

    Application of multi-station practice skills assessment model in clinical pharmacy education

    On the basis of the concept ofObjective structured clinical examination(OSCE), a multi-station practice skills assessment model in clinical pharmacy clinical skills examination was explored and established. The establishment of the sites, assessment content and feedback results were analyzed. From the preliminary practice effect, the assessment model not only realistically simulates clinical environment, but also achieves the purpose of better assessment of related skills, which can be helpful to improve the practice of pharmaceutical care of students and promote the cultivation of applied talents in pharmaceutical service. The assessment model is worth further research for optimization and promotion.
