Teaching effect research of integrated basic medicine teaching compared with traditional basic medicine teaching in higher vocational nursing

Abstract: Objective To study the feasibility and effects of integrated basic medicine teaching method.Methods The study choose 761 high vocational nursing students in grade 2013 as study object, the students were randomly divided into 7 classes, integrated basic medicine course was taken in class 1, 2, 3 and 4 which is experiment group, while traditional course was taken in class 5,6 and 7 which is control group. A survey was conducted among students, basic medicine teachers and specialized teachers. Academic scored was analyzed between experiment group and control group.Results The examination scores of experiment group were higher than that of the control group. The abilities of establishing systematic knowledge of basic medicine, self-learning and comprehensive analysis of experimental group were much better than that of control group. The difference was significant.Conclusions Teaching effects of integrated basic medicine teaching method is better than traditional teaching method and is worth promoting.
