Visual analysis of research hotspots and trends about teaching bases of public health practice in China

Abstract: Objective To visually illustrate the research hotspots and trends about teaching bases of public health practice in China. Methods From January 1994 to April 2022, relevant documents of research regarding teaching bases of public health practice in China National Knowledge Infrastructure, Wanfang Data and VIP Database for Chinese Technical Periodicals were retrieved. The time of publication, author, organization, and keywords were analyzed by bibliometric analysis, and the data were processed by Note Express software and Citspace software, and the visual atlas was drawn. Results The total number of research papers issued by the teaching bases of public health practice in China was on the rise. The issuing institutions are mainly medical colleges and universities, with less inter-agency cooperation. The top five high-frequency keywords with cumulative frequency are preventive medicine (35 times), practical teaching (24 times), teaching base (14 times), public health (12 times) and reform (9 times). The research focuses on the reform of practical teaching and talent training. Conclusions More and more attention has been paid to the researches on the teaching base of public health practice in China, and the cooperation between research institutions needs to be strengthened. The reform of practice teaching and talent training are the research hotspots and research trends about teaching base of public health practice, which needs further exploration in the future.
