Introduction to a pilot project of national continuing medical education base

Abstract: Based on the strengthens of advanced disciplines and faculty resources, the national continuing medical education (CME) base as an key component of nation-wide medical continuing education system has played an important role. This paper reviews the establishment and development of the pilot project of national CME base in China in the aspects of the system construction and accreditation of national CME base, and then introduces the development of the national CME base filing project as an important form of CME activities. Finally, the results of national CME base evaluation are analyzed and suggestions are put forward to improve the performance of national CME base.
