Abstract: Objective In order to improve the training outcomes of one-month rotation for non-medical imaging residents in the department of radiology, a new five-in-one training mode was constructed and the results were analyzed. Methods Sixty-eight non-medical imaging residents who accepted training in Department of Radiology of Hangzhou First People's Hospital from June 2020 to October 2020 were selected. They were randomly divided into two groups with 32 in the experimental group implementing SPARK mode and 36 in the control group with traditional training during one month of rotation. At the mid-term and the end of rotation, the two groups of residents were assessed quantitatively to compare the training outcomes of the two training pathways. Results The scores of mid-term assessment of experiment group and control group were both [8(7, 9)], Z=-0.039, P=0.969. The scores of rotation end assessment of experiment group and control group were [70(64, 74)] and [60(57, 67)] respectively, Z=-2.626, P<0.01. Conclusions The SPARK training mode effectively helps non-medical imaging residents to learn radiology knowledge in a targeted and systematic manner, and improves their reading skills.
