Analysis of research for clinical teacher's competence

Abstract: The competence of clinical teachers is the individual deep level feature that distinguishes high performers from general performers in clinical teaching activities, which specifically includes the knowledge, skills, motivation, characteristics, self-image, attitudes and values of clinical teachers. This article uses the literature research method to summarize the research outcomes on the competence of clinical teachers in China from Jan, 2005 to March, 2020. The research summarizes the research contents of clinical teacher competence model construction, practical application, status quo and influencing factors, mixed research of related concepts, the introduction of training practical experience.It points out the current problems of clinical teacher competence research: research breadth and depth needs to be improved, lack of follow-up empirical research, serious repeated research phenomenon, unbalanced research object, lack of innovation in the research system and so on. The prospects for future research on the competence of clinical teachers are discussed to provide reference for subsequent research.
