Abstract: The shaping of scientific research thinking and the enhancement of clinical ability are the core elements of the training of medical students. However, in the current mode, the cultivation path of scientific research thinking is not clear, and it is difficult to organically integrate and spiral the shaping of scientific research thinking with the improvement of clinical competence. Oriented towards scientific problems and aiming at the synchronous improvement of students' scientific research thinking and clinical competence, Qingdao University forms a three-stage spiral progressive training system of ″penetration and introduction- integration and progression- deep fusion″ through the three- stage guidance of ″course- project- competition″. After 15 years of practice, good results have been achieved, and students' scientific research thinking and clinical competence have been significantly improved. The quality of faculty's teaching has been significantly improved.
