英国医学总会12份报告与英国医学教育发展

摘要: 目的 本研究通过对英国医学总会(General Medical Council,GMC)发布的12份报告进行分析,来探究英国现代医学教育的发展。方法 研究采用质性研究的主题分析法和内容分析法,对报告文本进行分析。采用Nvivo14软件的词频分析和编码分析功能,归纳出英国医学教育经历的发展阶段及其各阶段特征。结果 自1858年以来,英国医学教育经历了3个阶段,3个阶段的典型特征分别为:“以科学学科为导向的教育变革”“以课程整合为导向的教育变革”“以胜任力为导向的教育变革”。教育目标、教育内容、教育方法、教育评价在各阶段均发生变化。结论 在全球医学教育模式持续变革的背景下,以GMC为代表的非盈利性组织发挥了越来越重要的作用。各国应重视并发挥好非盈利性组织的力量,推动未来医学教育改革与发展。

Abstract: Objective This study aims to uncover the development in the United Kingdom and the role of the General Medical Council (GMC) through analysis of 12 reports issued by the GMC. Methods This study employed qualitative research methods including thematic analysis and content analysis. Utilizing the word frequency and coding analysis functions of Nvivo14 software, the study identifies the developmental stages and core themes of British medical education in each stage. Results Since 1858, UK medical education has undergone three stages. The characteristics of these three stages are examination-oriented, curriculum integration-oriented, and outcome-oriented reforms. Each stage has brought corresponding changes in educational objectives, content, methods, and evaluation. Conclusions Amid global transformations in the model of medical education, non-profit organizations like the General Medical Council (GMC) have become increasingly influential in shaping the field. Countries should pay attention to and make good use of the power of non-profit organizations to promote the reform and development of medical education in the future.
