Abstract: Incident learning is a vivid and effective teaching method, in which students learn and discuss the reported incidents under the guidance of teachers. In this paper, we investigate the feasibility, implementation and effectiveness of incident learning for the radiation oncology physicists' education, based on six-year clinical education practice, from establishing the database, learning the knowledge, concept and workflow, implementing incident learning to radiation oncology physicists' education. Our experience demonstrated that incident learning is an effective approach of education for radiation oncology physicists. It can be used for the training of theoretical learning, practical skills, and clinical reasoning.
