Evaluation and thinking of test scores and examination paper for comprehensive clinic fundamentals in eight-year program medical students

Abstract: Objective To evaluate the test scores and examination paper of comprehensive clinic fundamentals examination for grade 2012-2014 of eight-year program medical students in Peking University First Hospital,and to provide more scientific and reasonable exams and course construction. Methods SPSS and Excel software were used to deal with test scores and analyze test difficulty and discrimination. Results 3 exam grade medical students average score was between 48.9~54.0 (full score of 75 points),the average pass rate was 88.7%. The test scores showed a normal distribution. The overall difficulty was reasonable,and distribution was acceptable,but they were sort of unbalanced by parts of contents. Conclusions The overall situation of the test paper met the requirements of examination,the teaching effect was satisfactory. More attention should be paid to the basic concepts and principles in teaching and comprehension testing in examination paper design.
