Review and reflection on the textbook construction of traditional Chinese medicine gynecology

Abstract: The construction of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) teaching materials has always been an important tool used to train TCM talents. High quality teaching materials is one of the keys to improve the teaching quality of TCM colleges and universities. Planned textbooks for gynecology of TCM have undergone dozens of revisions. This paper sorts out the evolution of TCM gynecology textbooks for TCM colleges and universities across different editions, gives an overview of relevant textbook research articles and peer reviews, summarizes the element of political and virtuous awareness in the construction of TCM gynecology materials. It also analyzes challenges faced by the present textbook construction of TCM gynecology. It is hoped that these discussions may inform the construction of future teaching materials and the following teaching reforms.
