Abstract: To explore the effect of situational teaching method in the training of patient safety perception ability for nursing students. This study selected 105 nursing students who practiced at the Third Affiliated Hospital of Soochow University from March to December 2022 as research subjects, and used situational teaching method in patient safety perception ability training. The training effect was evaluated using the patient safety perception ability scale. The results showed that the patient safety perception ability of students after training was (75.94 ± 3.12), higher than that before training (70.66 ± 3.38), the difference was statistically significant (t=11.36, P<0.001). It can be seen that the situational teaching method used for patient safety perception training can effectively improve the patient safety perception ability of nursing students, and can be further promoted.
