Abstract: With an increasing intensification of aging of population, the ever-growing medical demands of the elderly face the challenge from the shortage of geriatricians in China. To promote continuing medical education (CME) is an important and effective way for training geriatric physicians. This paper analyzes the current situation and existing problems of CME for the training of geriatric doctors, and puts forward some suggestions, such as improving the understanding of geriatric specialty, paying more attention to the planning and design of CME for geriatric doctors' training, and strengthening the management of CME for geriatric doctors, in order to provide reference for optimizing the implementation mechanisms of CME of geriatric doctors.
