The enlightenment of psychosomatic competence training for doctors in western countries

Abstract: The importance of “bio-psycho-social” model and problems related to psychosomatic medicine have been paid attention to, which puts forward new requirements for physicians in the field of psychosomatic medicine. The training experience from western countries will provide enlightenment for China. This study introduced the origin and two typical clinical practice models of psychosomatic medicine as well as the relationships between psychosomatic medicine and other disciplines; proposed to draw lessons of psychosomatic medicine competence training in western countries represented by Germany and the United States so as to create our training system after localization revision.
