Revision and application of EENT new nurses standardized training program

Abstract: Objective To construct a standardized training program for EENT new nurses and verify the training effect.Methods Comparing the gaps between the training status for EENT new nurses and the requirements in the National Health Commission's “Training Program for New Nurses (Trial)”, expert discussions were organized to revise and construct the “Standardized Training Program for EENT New Nurses” and organize its implementation. To compare the differences between the new nurses trained by the new program and those trained by the traditional method by using experimental research methods.Results There was some gaps between the training status and the requirements, such as system formulation, rotation setting, curriculum content and training assessment methods. The revised training program may significantly improve the performance of new nurses in operation assessment and comprehensive practical skills.Conclusions The revised standardized training program for EENT new nurses is standardized and effective one, which fit the needs of EENT specialized hospitals.
