The current situation of clinical nutrition teaching for medical undergraduates

Abstract: With the transformation of medical models,nutritional therapy has become an important part of clinical comprehensive diagnosis and treatment.The current situation of clinical nutrition education in China is not satisfactory, and the majority of clinicians have not been well-trained in this field, to strengthen the education on clinical nutrition for medicine undergraduates is very important. This paper described the current situation of clinical nutrition teaching for medical undergraduates and analyzed the existing problems by literature review.This study puts forward suggestions to improve clinical nutrition education for medical undergraduates with offering clinical nutrition elective courses, integrating course teaching content, highlighting clinical practicability; flexible use of multimedia technology, building a network teaching platform; optimizing the teaching staff, forming an integrated teaching group and other measures to help medical students master the basic knowledge of clinical nutrition and establish awareness of clinical nutrition treatment, laying the foundation for future clinical nutrition diagnosis and treatment.
