Bibliometric analysis of doctoral dissertations in the field of stomatology in China from 2003 to 2023

摘要: 目的 探讨2003至2023年我国口腔医学研究领域博士学位论文的特征与研究主题,为口腔医学专业博士研究生培养提供借鉴。方法 2024年11月,采用文献计量学方法检索中国知网和万方数据知识服务平台2003至2023年口腔医学研究领域博士学位论文,统计论文作者、发文数量、机构和关键词等数据,使用CiteSpace软件对关键词进行可视化分析。结果 共筛选出来自91家机构的口腔医学研究领域博士学位论文2 721篇,其中论文量排名前10位的机构发表的论文数量占比69.8%(1 898/2 721)。论文指导教师共有959名,其中30名教师指导的论文数量≥20篇,占所有论文数量的29.7%(807/2 721)。39.1%(1 065/2 721)的学位论文被引频次为0。2003至2023年口腔医学研究领域博士学位论文的研究主题分析显示,该领域形成以骨代谢、疾病机制和修复技术为核心的多元化、跨学科融合趋势,口腔医学研究从基础组织工程向分子机制与临床转化发展。自2015年以来,与炎症、免疫相关的关键词突现频率增加,如巨噬细胞、自噬等;对“外泌体”的研究也引起了更多学者的关注。结论 我国口腔医学研究领域博士学位论文的所属机构和指导教师分布相对集中;博士学位论文的被引用频次较低,论文质量有待进一步提高。未来研究可以聚焦于外泌体递送系统、炎症微环境调控、免疫治疗和多学科技术整合等方向,为口腔疾病防治开辟新途径。

Abstract: Objective To dissect the characteristics and prevalent research topics within Chinese doctoral dissertations in the field of stomatology from 2003 to 2023, offering insights for the nurturing of future dental doctoral candidates. Methods Utilizing bibliometric analysis, doctoral dissertations in the field of stomatology researchfrom 2003 to 2023 were sourced from the China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI) and Wanfang Database Knowledge Service Platform in November 2024. Statistical analysis was performed on data such as authorship, publication volume, affiliated institutions and colleges, and dissertation keywords. CiteSpace software was used to conduct visual analysis of the keywords. Results A total of 2 721 doctoral dissertations in stomatology from 91 institutions and colleges were retrieved. Dissertations from the top 10 institutions constituted 69.8% (1 898/2 721) of the total. There were 959 thesis advisors, with 30 guiding≥20 dissertations, representing 29.7% (807/2 721) of the total. A significant 39.1% (1 065/2 721) of the dissertations remained uncited. An analysis of the research topics of doctoral dissertations in the field of stomatology from 2003 to 2023 reveals a trend of diversification and interdisciplinary integration centered on bone metabolism, disease mechanisms, and repair techniques. The research in stomatology has evolved from basic tissue engineering to molecular mechanisms and clinical translation. Since 2015, the frequency of keywords related to inflammation and immunity, such as macrophages and autophagy, has increased significantly. Additionally, the study of “exosomes”has attracted more attention from scholars. Conclusions The institutions and supervisors of doctoral dissertations in the field of stomatology in China are relatively concentrated. The citation frequency of these dissertations is relatively low, and the quality of the papers needs to be further improved. Future research can focus on exosome delivery systems, regulation of the inflammatory microenvironment, immunotherapy, and integration of multidisciplinary technologies to open up new avenues for the prevention and treatment of oral diseases.
