基于标准临床病例的混合式教学模式在口腔颌面部肿瘤教学中的应用

Application of blended teaching mode based on standard clinical cases in oral and maxillofacial oncology course

摘要: 基于案例学习是培养学生临床思维和解决临床实际问题的重要方法。传统的课堂教学中,学生难以接触到充足的、系统的教学案例。本研究采用基于标准临床病例的混合式教学模式,应用于口腔颌面部肿瘤融合课程的教学中。通过教学管理平台,将线上与线下教学方式相结合,将标准临床病例教学融入理论课程和基于问题学习教学中。问卷调查结果显示,参与教学改革的83名学生中,有65人(78.3%)认为基于标准临床病例的混合式教学模式比传统教学模式更能够提高学习效率;73人(88.0%)认为该教学模式有助于培养临床思维和解决临床问题的能力。教学实践结果表明,该教学模式有助于口腔医学专业学生口腔颌面部肿瘤的理论学习,值得进一步推广。

Abstract: Case-based learning (CBL) is important in developing students′ critical thinking and problem solving skills, while students were less likely to be exposed to sufficient and systematic clinical scenarios in traditional didactic lectures. This study utilized the blended teaching mode based on standard clinical cases in oral and maxillofacial oncology course. Via online teaching platform system, online modules and traditional face-to-face lectures were combined, allowing integration of case-based learning method into lectures-based and problem-based learning (PBL) teaching system. The questionnaire survey results showed that out of 83 students participating in teaching reform, compared to traditional teaching mode, 65(78.3%) believed that the blended teaching mode based on standard clinical cases increased learning efficiency; 73(88.0%) believed that this teaching mode facilitated development of critical thinking and problem solving skills. The teaching practice results indicated that this teaching mode is helpful for the theoretical learning of oral and maxillofacial oncology course and can be further promoted.
