中美公共卫生本科人才培养模式的比较

A comparative study of talents cultivation model for public health undergraduate students in China and US

摘要: 对于公共卫生本科教育,中国以预防医学专业为主,美国为公共卫生学士学位项目。由于中美两国教育体系和人才需求的差异,公共卫生本科教育各具特色。本文以中国第四轮全国高校学科评估“公共卫生与预防医学”学科整体水平排名前5名的高校和《美国新闻与世界报告》中美国公共卫生学院排名前5名的大学为例,对比分析了中国预防医学专业和美国的公共卫生学士学位项目在培养目标、学制学位、课程体系、实习实践、毕业要求方面的差异,并针对培养目标、优势特色和课程设置为我国公共卫生本科人才培养提出建议。

Abstract: The focus of undergraduate education in public health is preventive medicine in China and public health in the US. Because of the differences in education systems and talent demand between China and the US, each has its distinctiveness in talents cultivation model. This article takes the examples of representative schools of public health in China (top 5 by the 4th Round of National Discipline Evaluation) and the US (top 5 by US News & World Report), compares their training objectives, degree categories, coursework, internship and practice, and graduation requirement, and makes recommendations on training objectives, strengths and uniqueness, and curriculum for public health undergraduate talent training in China.
