    Analysis of “craftsmanship spirit” in health vocational education

    “Craftsmanship spirit” means the professional attitude and spirit pursuit on the basis of the vocational reason. “Craftsmanship spirit” has already had a long history whether in western countries or in ancient china. Health vocational spirit is intimately tied up with the “craftsmanship spirit” and the reputation of health service, which is the footstone of health vocational colleges. Vocational colleges can develop the students' “Craftsmanship spirit” with characteristics by themselves, through the approaches of thought guidance, specialty immersion, cultural nourishment and practice inspiration.

    Analysis of the training objectives of higher nursing professional education and the relevant problems

    The training objectives in higher nursing professional education are to cultivate the nurses who own the nursing skills and are able to independently work on regular nursing posts. The national unity teaching standard is an important link to realize the training objectives and it can guild the realization of training objectives. The teaching process and curriculum reform deviating from the teaching standards is not allowed, it also is not tolerated by training objectives . The consistency of teaching quality evaluation index with course teaching standard may repeatedly adjust realization of the training objectives. To tighten “learning cage” in the comprehensive life museum teaching technology can gain creative teaching results, and it is more beneficial to reach the training objectives of higher nursing professional education.

    The status quo and analysis of job insecurity scale among faculties in the trends of classified management

    Objective The status quo of the job insecurity of a medical college faculties and their relationship with the degree of engagement and job performance in the trends of classified management were systematically studied.Methods The job insecurity questionnaire, the job satisfaction questionnaire and the work performance scale were used to evaluate 385 faculties in a medical college. Questionnaire was used in 7 points,the lowest 1 point,the highest 7 point.Results The total average score of job insecurity of medical college faculties is [3.70(2.74, 4.38)]. Insecurity of payment and promotion scale is the highest of[4.57(3.71,5.57)]. The level of insecurity of excessive competition varies depending on different gender(P<0.05);The level of insecurity of job loss varies depending on different age(P<0.05);The level of job insecurity and each scale varies depending on different title(all P<0.05).According to structural equation model, engagement has direct effect on job performance, and engagement has partial mediating effect on the relationship between insecurity of excessive competition and job performance, insecurity of payment and job performance.Engagement has full mediating effect on the relationship between insecurity of excessive competition and job performance.Conclusions The overall job insecurity of the faculties involved in the survey is low, with a higher insecurity of payment and promotion. Gender, age, title have an impact on job insecurity. Totally, insecurity of job execution, insecurity of job loss and insecurity of excessive competition have negative effect on job performance, especially for insecurity of job execution, insecurity of payment and promotion mainly has positive effect on job performance. Managers should take measures to increase the positive factors and decrease the negative factors to improve job performance.

    The comparison on social practice between Peking University Health Science Center and medical colleges and universities in Taiwan China

    Objective To compare the differences of social practice status among medical students from Peking University Health Science Center (PUHSC) and medical colleges from Taiwan China. Methods From October 2015 to November 2015, an originally designed questionnaire was delivered to the undergraduate students of PUHSC by quota sampling and to students from 4 universities at Taiwan China by convenience sampling. Finally, a total of 408 medical students were investigated. Chi-square test were conducted to analyze the differences of social practice status between two groups of medical students.Results Characteristics of social practice status vary from PUHSC to other medical colleges at Taiwan China in the following aspects: the involvement mode of medical students, the way of organizing the social practice and the degree of supporting from universities, and the participation intension of medical students. Conclusions To better carry out the policy of “education through practice”, it is suggested that medical colleges should attach importance to social practice fundamentally, reinforce social practice organization, offer more sponsorship; encourage advisor participation and enhance guide to students’ motivation. Moreover, medical colleges are suggested to try to integrate social practice into curriculum, and formulate an index system and evaluation mechanism.

    Comparison study of students' professional cognition and willingness of being doctor of two medical schools between Taiwan China and mainland China

    Objective To investigate the professional cognition and willingness of being doctors of medical students in Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine and Yang-Ming University Medical School. To analyze the possible influencing factors based on the investigation.Methods A questionnaire survey was conducted among 160 medical students in Taiwan and in the mainland China. The questionnaire consisted of three parts: the willingness of being a doctor, motivation of learning medicine and professional cognition. The data were analyzed statistically.Results Compared with Taiwan area, the willingness of being a doctor among medical students in the mainland China was much lower. The proportion of medical students who learn medicine at other people's will was higher. The following three points of view among medical students in the mainland China is significantly lower: the value orientation of professional cognition, doctors' social status and income level.Conclusions There is a lower willingness to be a doctor among medical students in the mainland of China. Their professional cognition is relatively insufficient. A strengthened humanistic education, moral education, and occupational education is required. Hence the wastage rate of medical graduates will be reduced.

    Attitude of health professional undergraduate students towards interprofessional learning

    Objective To investigate the attitude of health professional undergraduate students towards interprofessional learning and provide effective evidence for the setting of interprofessional education.Methods 453 health professional undergraduate students majoring in medicine, nursing, preventive medicine and rehabilitation treatment were measured by the Readiness for Interprofessional Learning Scale (RIPLS). Collected data was performed by mean ± standard deviation (SD), frequency, and percentage and analyzed by independent t test and one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA).Results The overall RIPLS score of students from the four major was (71.70±11.61), the subscales score of teamwork and collaboration, professional identity, and roles and responsibilities of RIPLS were (35.25±6.68), (26.72±5.12), (9.74±2.03), respectively. Statistical analyses revealed significant differences in professional identity, roles and responsibilities scores by professions, roles and responsibilities scores by grades and students who had clinical practice had lower scores of roles and responsibilities than these without clinical practice (all P<0.05).Conclusions Health professional undergraduate students' attitudes towards interprofessional learning were not positive. Professions, grades and the experience of clinical practice were factors associated with attitudes towards interprofessional collaboration. Therefore, educators should implement interprofessional education for health professional undergraduate students in the early education, which can promote teamwork and improve quality of care.

    The status quo of professional orientation and education of clinical radio-chemist and radio-pharmacist in China

    Objective To clarifying the professional orientation of clinical radio-chemist (CRC) and radio-pharmacist (RP) in China, and to promote standardization of their education.Methods The legal status, responsibilities and competence requirements of CRC and RP are reviewed. Limitations of current educational system are also analyzed. Except that, suggestions for improvement are proposed.Results The number of these practitioners is insufficient now in China. Their academic background and professional skills are various and sometimes unsatisfying. The probable reasons are: 1) professional orientation of CRC and RP recognized by academic societies, governmental administrations and medical institutions are actually not clear; 2) the status quo of educational system for CRC and RP is far from perfect. The historical experience from European Union and United States is valuable as reference.Conclusions The survey of demand for CRC and RP practitioner, the improvement of legal system and educational system for CRC and RP, and more propaganda and communication in professionals should be in plan. Along with the progress of nuclear medicine, the variety of radio-pharmaceuticals involved in keeps growing and their formulations become more and more complex. The trend that clinical radio-chemical and radio-pharmaceutical service (including preparation, quality control and administration) are charged by professional CRC and RP is becoming more and more certain. CRC and RP will be increasingly important in nuclear medical team.

    The application of network teaching platform for biochemistry and molecular biology courses

    Objective To explore the application of the platform of biochemistry and molecular biology.Methods Sixty-six undergraduates of Jinzhou Medical University, major in clinical medicine, had been selected and divided into experimental group and control group equally. The teaching platform was for experimental group, and traditional teaching methods were for the control group. Based on the final examination and questionnaire survey, two different teaching methods had been under comparison and analysis.Results The grade of experimental group was significantly better than control group. The advantages of network platform could be summarized as fully arousing interest in courses, effectively improving learning methods and effective interaction between teachers and students.Conclusions The application of network teaching platform in biochemistry and molecular biology could stimulate students' learning enthusiasm, strengthen learning ability, and improve teaching quality.

    Field surgery training is an important part of professional education in medical staff of war wound/trauma care. The aim of this study is to suggest the improved strategy in training course of field surgery in the light of the curriculum demands of trainees. The investigation of trainees' demands held in the Institute of Surgery Research, Daping Hospital of Third Military Medical University from 2005 to 2016 was analyzed and related strategy was put forward. The results showed that there were several disadvantages in current training, such as inadequate diversification and practicality, poor popularity and unitary evaluation system. Therefore, the corresponding strategy was suggested in the aspects of idea, mode and assessment so as to improve the professional education system of field surgery.

This education module develops “the medical humanistic quality level”, construct is “medical humanities education system of three-dimensional”, builds “pattern of medical humanistic quality education all-round”, and promotes the realization of sports humanistic quality education of medical students.

    Objective To explore the relationship between humanistic caring ability and perception of caring environment in hospital of undergraduate nursing students undergoing clinical practice, and to provide reference for educators to improve caring environment in hospital and students' humanistic caring ability.Methods A total of 270 undergraduate nursing students undergoing clinical practice were investigated using Humanistic Caring Ability Scale and Perception of Hospital Caring Environment Scale for Nursing Undergraduates.Results The mean scores of students' humanistic caring ability and perception of caring environment in hospital were (3.97±0.37) and (3.97±0.49), respectively. The two variables were positively correlated (r=0.913, P<0.01).Conclusions It suggested that creating an effective caring environment in hospital for clinical practice may improve the nursing students' humanistic caring ability.

    A study on learning burnout and influencing factors of medical students

    Objective To validate the validity and validity of the learning burnout scale in the medical student group and measure the level of learning burnout and examine the factors that affect the students' learning burnout.Methods The descriptive statistical analysis was used to evaluate the current situation of medical students' burnout. Pearson correlation analysis was used to test the relationship between the dimensions of learning burnout questionnaire and the overall learning burnout. The multiple linear regression method was used to analyze Influencing Factors of Learning Burnout of Medical Students.Results The satisfaction status, professional interest, employment prospect, achievement level, learning pressure, school satisfaction and age were the influencing factors of medical students' burnout. Among them, the two effects of learning stress and age on learning burnout were positive correlation.Five variables including life satisfaction, professional interest, employment prospects, achievement level, and school satisfaction had negative impact on learning burnout.Conclusions The learning and burnout scale of medical students is good and the level of learning burnout is low.

Meanwhile,some constructive suggestions are put forward on how to further optimize the public platform of WeChat.

    The analysis of case-based learning in the teaching effectiveness of medical statistics

    Objective To quantitatively assess the results of applying case-based learning (CBL) and lecture-based learning (LBL) in medical statistics by using meta-analysis.Methods CNKI, Wanfang database, VIP database were searched for articles on CBL versus LBL in medical statistical education in China, data last updated in August 2016. According to the inclusion and exclusion criteria, the authors extracted data, assessed the quality of included studies and performed a quantitative data synthesis using stata13.0 software.Results Eleven studies (1286 treatments and 1208 controls) were finally included. Compared with LBL, CBL was superior in final exam scores (WMD=3.75, 95%CI=2.39~5.10, z=5.43, P<0.001), comprehensive application ability test score (WMD=3.72, 95%CI=2.37~5.06, z=5.43, P<0.001), the satisfaction degree of teaching methods (RR=1.27, 95%CI=1.18~1.37, z=6.15, P<0.001), the interest of statistical learning (RR=1.32,95%CI=1.20~1.45, z=5.62, P<0.001), the importance of statistical learning (RR=1.27, 95%CI=1.14~1.43, z=2.49, P=0.013), there were statistical significance.Conclusions The effect of CBL outweighs which of LBL in medical statistics education in China, CBL improved the learning interest and academic performs of medical statistics.

    Evaluation of the effect of scene simulation teaching method on non-technical skills of ICU nursing student

    Objective To discuss evaluation of the effect of scene simulation teaching method on non-technical skills of ICU nursing students.Methods One hundred and fourteen nursing students of Binzhou Medical University were divided into experimental group and control group randomly, the experimental group was taught by scene simulation teaching method and traditional teaching method, and the control group was taught by traditional teaching method, then team cohesion, clinical communication ability and critical thinking ability of two groups were compared.Results After the intervention, there were statistically significant differences between the two groups' team cohesion, critical thinking and clinical communication ability(all P<0.05).Conclusions Scene simulation teaching method is beneficial to the cultivation of non-technical skills, such as team cohesion, clinical communication ability and critical thinking ability in ICU.

    Objective To investigate the effect of modified method of case discussion using in the surgical nursing teaching so as to promote nursing teaching reform. Method 383 nursing undergraduates of Hubei University of Medicine were selected as the research object. The grade 2010 was selected as the experimental group, grade 2009 as the control group. In surgical nursing teaching, the experimental group adopted modified method of case discussion, the control group adopted traditional method of case discussion. A record sheets of case discussion was used in experimental group and as a part of formative assessment results.The theoretical examination results of the two group were compared. Questionnaire survey was carried out in experimental group.Results The examination results of the experimental group and their academic assessment of relevant indicators about learning surgical nursing were higher than those of control group.Conclusions The modified method of case discussion fully reflects the student-centered philosophy of education, it can be helpful to improve students' self-learning ability. It can conducive to cultivate students' clinical thinking and integrated capabilities, and strengthen the interaction between teachers and students.

    Objective To discuss the application and practice of the project teaching method based on work process in the teaching of hematology laboratory in higher vocational colleges.Methods The students were selected as the study subjects. The students were both in class 1 and class 2 majored in medical laboratory technology specialty, grade 2014 with three-year vocational education in Sichuan Vocational College of Health and Rehabilitation. Students in class 1 were selected as the experimental group, and students in class 2 were selected as the control group. Project teaching method based on work process was used in the experimental group, and traditional teaching method was used in the control group.Results The experimental results of comprehensive training, theoretical examination and the total score of the experimental group were higher than those of the control group (all P<0.05).Conclusions The project teaching method based on working process can stimulate students' interest in learning and learning initiative and enthusiasm, self-learning ability, communication ability, teamwork ability, logical thinking ability and clinical practice ability, and also improve teaching effect and the overall quality of students.

    Cloud framework and self-adapting service methods for college student mental health education

    To resolve the matters of poor self-adapting ability and low accessing efficiency of data service systems for college student mental health education, a universal plug and play (UPnP) based cloud framework and self-adapting service methods were proposed. A cloud framework model for college student mental health was set up, and the dynamical response for network architecture (NA) was performed. A data collecting algorithm with monitoring and scheduling was put forward to realize playback and comparative analysis for different users, time and conditions. A mental health cloud service system was developed, and the technical index and ergonomic performance comparative experiments with the C/S-based systems were performed. The comparative results showed that the access accuracy of data transaction process was improved 80%, the average query time was decreased 68%, the wrong processing probability per 1000 data records was decreased 84%, the off-line-interrupt probability per 1000 sessions was decreased 82%, the data package loss probability for data query process was decreased 91%, the general satisfy degree was increase 28%, the instance analysis efficiency per working day was improved 27, and the parallel users could increase 5 times of C/S systems. The college student mental health cloud service system runs stably, inquires quickly, has perfect exception mechanism, and can provide mobile on-line data service for college student mental health education.

    With a large number of medical undergraduates in local universities, the demand for clinical probation teaching resources is relatively large. Therefore, the clinic probation teaching needs to be distributed in a number of hospitals simultaneously.In the process of implementing the teaching activities, the quality of teaching may be different in different hospitals, which makes the clinical probation teaching can not develop consistently. Taking the clinical probation teaching of medical undergraduates in a university in Hunan as the object, this paper makes an empirical study on the problem of the homogeneity and balanced development of clinical probation teaching from the perspective of teaching and examination separated courses results, so that to provide a reference for the establishment of quality assurance mechanism for the homogeneity and balanced development of clinical probation teaching at multi-units.

    Objective To investigate the relying on the information platform (teaching website), on the foundation of classical case database, CBL (case based learning, CBL) combined with PBL (problem based learning) teaching method application in clinical hepatobiliary surgery teaching effect.Methods 24 clinical trainees were randomly divided into the experimental group (CBL+PBL group,12) and the control group ( traditional teaching group,12). Experimental group in the teaching website established classic case database, teaching process by the CBL began, students on the web site of classical case database to autonomous learning, a comprehensive understanding of the case from the pathogenesis, clinical manifestations to the complaints, symptoms, signs, history collection, diagnosis, laboratory examination, therapy. Teachers set up the problem of classic cases to discuss the case study under the guidance of teachers. The control group of teachers in theory teaching, teaching rounds and observe the operation etc.. After the study of the two groups of theoretical knowledge and clinical operation to test. Students in the experimental group were surveyed by questionnaires to evaluate the teaching methods.Results The experimental group's theory test score (92.1±0.95) points, better than the control group (87.5±0.62), the difference was statistically significant (t=7.984,P<0.05). The clinical skills of the experimental group were (90.9±0.95), which was better than the control group (86.3±0.88), the difference was statistically significant (t=8.027,P<0.05). The results of the questionnaire showed that more than 90.0% of the students thought that the teaching method could arouse the enthusiasm of study and improve the efficiency of study.Conclusions Relying on the information platform, CBL and PBL are organically combined, applied in hepatobiliary surgery teaching, stimulate the students' interest and improve the teaching effect.

    The effect of teachers' role active conversion during teaching model of case-based learning combined with lecture-based learning in pre-clinical practice teaching of respiratory medicine

    Objective To investigate the teaching effects of teachers' role active conversion according different teaching methods: case-based learning (CBL) combined with lecture-based learning (LBL) in respiratory medicine pre-clinical practice of different specialties.Methods CBL combined with LBL was applied to respiratory medicine pre-clinical practice teaching from department of preventive medicine and department of clinical medicine, and the teaching effects was compared with that of LBL.Results Although no significant differences were noted in basic knowledge of pneumonia and COPD (both P>0.05), the expanding theoretical achievements of CBL combined with LBL, as well as students' performances of after-department phase examination emphasizing on clinical practice abilities, were significantly better than that of LBL. In the expanding theoretical achievements, the experimental group of preventive medical students was better than the control group(Z=3.33, P<0.01), the experimental group of clinical medicine students was better than the control group(Z=3.24, P<0.01). In the clinical practice abilities, the experimental group of preventive medical students was better than the control group(Z=2.11, P<0.05), the experimental group of clinical medicine students was better than the control group(Z=2.22, P<0.05). Some parameters including the enthusiasm, initiative and collaboration of students in a questionnaire survey can be improved by using teaching methods of CBL combined with LBL.Conclusions Teachers' role active conversion according different teaching methods such as CBL combined with LBL has an obvious advantage in the different specialties pre-clinical practice teaching of respiratory medicine and may improve the teaching quality.

    Self-assessment of phased competencies under “unification of four certificates” postgraduate training model

    Objective To evaluate the accomplishment of residency training on different level of postgraduate residents' self-assessment of competencies under the “unification of four certificates” postgraduate residency training model.Methods The study conducted a cross-sectional survey of all the postgraduate residents in the hospital. The competency included 5 domains with 15 items, 3 levels were designed for each item from ACGME competency, and matched to the Chinese residency accomplished standard. The accomplished rates were counted from self-assessment results.Results There were 272 validated questionnaires received. The phased competency assessment could evaluate the difference between grades than accomplished standard. The accomplished rates of each domain and as a whole were lower as the grade up, with a significant difference. There was the same trend in all the 15 competency items.Conclusions The “unification of four certificates” postgraduate students could finish Chinese residency accomplished standard well, but couldn't get the ACGME competency. It's important to monitor and improve residents' competency levels of different grades, not only to finish the residency training time, contains and numbers.

    Objective To explore the teaching effectiveness of combined teaching method in probation teaching of urology surgery.Methods A total of 240 general practice of clinical medicine students doing clinical practice at the Department of urology surgery,the Yongchuan Hospital of Chongqing Medical Universitywere selected as study subjects and divided into experimental group and control group with 120 in each group. With the study of prostate hyperplasia, the experimental group was adopted the combined teaching method, and the control group was adopted the lecture-based learning. The teaching outcomes in the two groups were evaluated by a uniform test and a questionnaire survey.Results The examination results, satisfaction, classroom atmosphere, practical operation ability and problem understanding of the students in experimental group were significantly better than the control group.Conclusions Through the combined teaching method, the students' interest in learning was stimulated, the team cooperation ability of students was enhanced, the participation of each student was guaranteed, and the teaching effectiveness was improved.

    Objective To explore the demand on medical statistical methods for graduate students.Methods From November to December of 2015, by the application of scale, to survey the status and demand of medical statistics teaching on a medical university graduate students .Results The graduate student thinks that the course of medical statistics is unnecessary. The top three of the most common statistical methods of basic medical science are statistical description 23.8%(143/600), ANOVA 23.0%(138/600),t test 22.3%(134/600), and the top three of the most common statistical methods for clinical practice were χ2 test 61.2%(367/600), t test 59.5%(357/600),statistical chart 58.7%(352/600).The top three of the most common statistical methods of preventive medicine are statistical description 5.0%(30/600),statistical chart 4.7%(28/600), principal components and factor analysis 3.2%(19/600).Conclusions Graduate students in medical colleges and universities for medical statistics teaching needs are different.The teaching should be based on the needs of statistics for graduate students, while increasing the diversity of teachers.

    Evidence-based practice is more and more required by contemporary medicine. Therefore, training of evidence-based medicine is becoming more and more important for residents. It was introduced the approach of EBM Club and summarized its effect and points in this artical. It has been showed that EBM Club helps residents understand concepts of evidence-based medicine and master its methods. EBM Club is an effective and suitable approach for residents, and enriches contemporary standardized training of residents in China.

    Objective To evaluate the effect of medical simulation teaching method in resident clinical training of neurosurgery.Methods 50 residents under standardized training program in the Department of Neurosurgery of The Third Affiliated Hospital of SUN Yet-sen University between 2014 and 2016 were randomized into experimental group and control group. Medical simulation teaching method was applied in the experimental group, and traditional teaching method was applied in the control group. At the end of teaching, theoretical knowledge, clinical skills and clinical comprehensive ability were assessed. The satisfaction degree was evaluated by questionnaire.Results Exam scores of both theoretical knowledge and clinical skills in of the experimental group were significantly better than those in the control group. Residents in experimental group showed more satisfaction on teaching effects.Conclusions The medical simulation teaching method can improve the students' theory, operation results, clinical comprehensive processing ability and satisfaction on teaching effects, which is worthy of further exploration and promotion.

    Objective To evaluate the data of graduation examination of the nuclear medicine residencies standardized training in Beijing, and to provide the feasible exam programs.Methods SPSS software was used to deal with the examination paper design and test scores, and analyze test difficulty, discrimination, reliability, and validity.Results The whole difficulties are 0.87,0.83,0.78 from 2014-2016, respectively, and higher than the planned values. There are some questions that may be deleted in three-year papers though discrimination analyses. To be satisfied, the reliabilities and content validities in three years are all considerably good. While the construct vadilities are not as decent as expected.Conclusions The course examination should pay attention to improve the test difficulties in consistent with the planned values or reset the qualifying standard. The graduation examination with satisfactory discrimination, reliability, and validity is capable to achieve the test purposes.

    Objective To study the reliability of wearable recording equipment used in the medical operation skills evaluation.Methods The wearable recording equipment were used to record 39 students' medical operation skill performance in a test, 3 examiners give score through watching the video. 1 of the 3 examiners does the on-site evaluation as well. Through the comparison of on-site score and video score, to test copy reliability, rater reliability and test-retest reliability of the wearable recording equipment.Results The copy reliability (0.486), rater reliability (0.934 and 0.611) and test-retest reliability (0.918 and 0.903) are high.Conclusions Without the influence on the students, the equipment can capture more details of their performance. With the help of the record, the examiners can evaluate the students in a different time and difference place.

    With the increasing amount and rapid update of modern information, as well as the wide application of complex high tech into medical practice, medical staff are required to learn new knowledge and master new skills. However, specialized doctors' vocational skills promotion system has not adapted to the times within the framework of traditional complementary vocational education in Russia. To develop continuing medical education has become an important task in the medical education system in Russia. The study elaborates the reasons, backgrounds, principles, aims and implementation of developing continuing medical education in Russia based on abundant Russian literature materials, and provides some advice for domestic experts and scholars.
