Exploration of applying “Deming cycle” in the training of supervisors of medical graduates

Abstract: This study is aiming for improving the capacity building of graduate supervisors of clinical medicine through application of “Deming cycle” in Peking University Third Hospital. The improvement of training outcome is focused on four issues as top-level design, training implementation, feedback and improvement. The study showed that the training system for graduates' supervisors based on Deming cycle is effective. Medical schools should establish a complete, standardized and scientific training system for the construction of supervisors' team by improving the management system, the overall quality of the training team, and strengthening the construction of the training connotation. Thus comprehensively improving the quality of training.
