The application of experiential teaching in the teaching of occupational health

Abstract: Objective To explore the application of experiential teaching in occupational health study. Methods 81 undergraduate students of the School of Public Health of Peking University were included in this study. Experiential teaching was used in the occupational health teaching within these students. Then the survey of the students with questionnaires about the effects of experiential teaching was conducted. Results The experiential teaching can active the atmosphere in class and arouse students’ initiative and enthusiasm. In addition,students also improved their teamwork ability as well as the ability of combining theory with practice. Conclusions Experiential teaching is an effective teaching method and can be used in modern occupational health teaching.
