SWOT analysis on the comprehensive skills education of doctoral candidates of general practice in China

Abstract: The training of doctoral candidates in general practice in China is still in its initial stage. How to further improve the level of the comprehensive skills of doctoral candidates in general practice and promote the development of the discipline of general practice has become the focus of medical colleges and universities. This article uses SWOT (strength, weakness, opportunity, threat) analysis method to initially explore the internal strengths and weaknesses, as well as external opportunities and threats of the training of doctoral candidates in general practice in China, and put forward corresponding promotion strategies such as to learn from the training experience of other specialties, strengthen the tutor team, broaden employment channels and improve the salary, in order to inform the improvement of the training system of doctoral candidates in general practice and the promotion of high-quality and sustainable development of general practice.
