Abstract: Objective To conduct bibliometric analysis of SCI literature based on Objective structured clinical examination (OSCE), and lay the foundation for subsequent research. Methods SCI literature based on OSCE were obtained from Web of Science, and the publication year distribution, literature type, country/region distribution, journal distribution, citation, co-authorship of OSCE and research contents were analyzed. Results The amount of studies based on OSCE is increasing year by year, and the most common type of these literatures is article. Most of these literatures were conducted by authors from developed countries or regions. Most of the literatures were published in journals of medical education. However, a lack of cooperation or networking existed among these researchers in OSCE. OSCE was mostly applied in students majored in clinical medicine. Conclusions SCI literature based on OSCE in developed countries or regions has increased yearly, these literatures focused more on assessment of clinical skills of undergraduates of clinical medicine, and there was relatively less cooperation among researchers.
