The elicitation of Dreyfus model in medical education and training of clinical skills in China

Abstract: This paper interprets and reviews the article titled “From the Educational Bench to the Clinical Bedside: Translating the Dreyfus Developmental Model to the Learning of Clinical Skills”, written by an American medical educator Carraccio CL, and expounds how to apply the development law of “from novice to expert” in Dreyfus model to evaluate the development process of clinical expertise to explain the evolutionary law of cognitive and behavioral characteristics, and get enlightenment as that the medical educators in China should follow the law of cognitive science and promote the construction of a competency based medical education system.
