暑期科研项目在医学生科研能力培养中的作用

Exploration of summer-initiated research program on the cultivation of scientific research capacities of medical students

摘要: 加强医学本科生的科研能力培养是医学教育的发展趋势。本文介绍了北京大学医学部暑期科研项目的设计与实施,并以参加2023年暑期科研项目的171名学生为调查对象,比较参加项目前后学生对其科研能力的自我评分,梳理学生参加暑期科研项目的体验与建议。结果显示,参加暑期科研项目之后,学生在“我理解动物或人体实验的法律伦理问题” “我能够根据临床或科研需要查阅文献”“我能够选择合适的研究方法”“我能够进行实验数据的统计与分析”“我能够把研究结果撰写成研究报告”的评分均高于其参加暑期科研项目之前的评分[(3.94±0.91)分比(3.77±1.01)分;(4.02±0.78)分比(3.81±1.02)分;(3.22±1.00)分比(3.03±1.02)分;(3.53±1.02)分比(3.37±1.03)分;(3.72±0.98)分比(3.44±0.97)分],其差异均具有统计学意义(均P<0.05)。暑期科研项目有助于培养医学生的科研能力,具有可行性与有效性。

Abstract: Strengthening the cultivation of undergraduate scientific research abilities is a trend in medical education. This paper introduced the design and practice of summer-initiated research program in Peking University Health Science Center, which enrolled 171 students of the summer-initiated research program in 2023, compared and analyzed the students′ evaluation of their own scientific research capacities before and after the program, and sorted out the students′ experience and suggestions. After participating in the summer-initiated research program, the students have significantly improved their understanding of scientific research ethics [ (3.94±0.91) vs. (3.77±1.01)], capacities of literature review [(4.02±0.78) vs. (3.81±1.02)], selection of research methods [ (3.22±1.00) vs. (3.03±1.02)], statistics and analysis of research data [ (3.53±1.02) vs. (3.37±1.03)] and writing research reports [ (3.72±0.98) vs. (3.44±0.97)], with statistical significance. Summer-initiated research program is a feasible and effective way of cultivating the research abilities of medical undergraduates.
