Application of experiential teaching modules in anesthesiology internship for eight-year program students

Abstract: The eight-year program students from Peking University Health Science Center have only one week for their internship in anesthesiology. Since internship has a profound impact on students' choice of specialty. This article describes an internship training mode based on experiential learning theory supplemented by online teaching. It is a student-centered and task-oriented training method. And results show the mode improves students' satisfaction with anesthesiology practice and significantly stimulates students' interest in anesthesiology.
