Abstract: Objective To discusses the advantages and feasibility of case-based learning (CBL) teaching method by analyzing the teaching progeresses, teaching results and feedbacks of students on eight-year program clinical medicine. Methods From August 2012 to August 2014,the totally 126 students of long-term clinicinal medicine were included in this study. In the class of CBL method, every case included history, physical examination, laboratory examination and diagnostic imagings. Students were required to discuss on imaging characteristics, differential and final diagnoses. The effects of CBL teaching method were evaluated by the results of questionnaires. Results Based on questionnaires after the 3 years application of CBL courses, the CBL teaching method was accepted by the students. Students believed that CBL teaching method can help to raise the ability of study autonomy and to link theory with practice. Most students were satisfied with the time assignment of lecture- and case-based learning method. Conclusions CBL teaching method could improve medical imaging teaching effects, and it is a supplement of traditional lecture teaching method.
