Promoting the cultivation of traditional Chinese medicine talents in the new era through cultural inheritance

Abstract: In order to tackle the challenges in the education and training of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) such as insufficient history inheritance and learning traditional medicine based on a special culture and humanity overview, this paper proposes some strategies to deeply understand cultural connotation and core value of TCM, so as to comprehensively integrate Chinese traditional culture into the cultivation of TCM talents and to penetrate inheritance of Chinese traditional culture into education and training of TCM. The strategies include: strengthening the dominant position of education in colleges and universities of TCM; gathering and innovating with western medicine to cultivate professionals in the field of TCM, which is also beneficial to the cultivation of the core quality of western medicine talents; promoting the traditional culture of TCM at all ages and make the educational function of TCM radiate to the whole national education system.
