Abstract: Workplace-based assessment is an important part of the training of clinical oncology specialists. The Shenzhen-Hong Kong clinical oncology specialist training program is based on the experience of Hong Kong, Sichuan, Shanghai and Beijing, as well as the training programs of the UK and the US. The scheme needs four years and has developed a comprehensive workplace-based assessment program. This paper gives an overview of all the workplace-based assessment methods in the scheme and also considers the opportunities and challenges.
