Abstract: Pharmaceutical Care Network Europe (PCNE) classification system is used by clinical pharmacists to characterize, summarize and evaluate drug-related problems and so has become an important tool for pharmaceutical services. From January to May 2021, among the five-year clinical pharmacy students who practiced at Xiangya Hospital of Central South University, the teaching method based on the PCNE classification system was explored. The results shows that 107 drug-related problems were found through teaching and training with PCNE classification system and the success rate of intervention reaches 72.9% (78/107). The students have excellent scores from final examination and the teaching model was well recognized by all the students. The introduction of the PCNE classification system into the intern-ship training can strengthen the capacity building of clinical pharmacy students to find and to solve drug-related problems.
