Research on trends of foreign patient safety culture research based on CiteSpace

Abstract: Objective To explore the core research and development trends in the field of patient safety in foreign countries,so to provide reference for the development of patient safety culture in China.Methods CiteSpace was used to study the evolution of research strength,high-cited articles,and key core research areas in the field of patient safety culture in the Web of Science database.Results Visual analysis of 514 English paper in the field of patient safety culture from Journal 2008 to June 2018,the main research comes from European and American countries,including American 170、 English 45、 Holland 32,and the research institutions in the Netherlands and Norway have obvious advantages in the amount of publications.Such as Vrije University of Amsterdam Medical Center and Netherlands Institution Health Service Research,amount of publications were average 9 articles.The research trend has gradually shifted from the current research to the effects of interventions at all levels,and extended to the discussion of patient safety subcultures such as communication and cooperation.Conclusions The research on patient safety culture in these countries has become more mature.Drawing on foreign highly cited articals and the latest research fields,such as improvement measures and intervention methods,etc.In order to promote the study and medical education of the patient safety culture in China.
