A review and meta-analysis about factors related to humanistic care among nursing undergraduates

Abstract: Objective To evaluate the factors related to humanistic care of nursing undergraduates by systematic review and meta analysis. Methods Many kinds of databases were searched according to the same criteria up to June, 2017. A total of 11 articles were retrieved through comprehensive searching. The data were analyzed by CMA 3.0 software. Results Professional attitude, practice and experience of humanistic care were significantly related to humanistic care among nursing undergraduate. The effect of demographic characteristics was not significant. Conclusions Humanistic care of undergraduate nursing students is affected by many factors. There is a small amount of original studies and the variables of each research are not completely consistent. Further more high-quality studies still need to be conducted.
