Design and practice of integrated course of infectious diseases for five-year program medical student

Abstract: According to teaching program of medical microbiology, parasitology and epidemiology that opened for five-year medical student, the repeated teaching contents in disciplines that related to infectious disease prevention and control were analyzed. After the curriculum reorganization, the integrative course teaching plan and teaching method were formulated. Teaching contents of preventive medicine and medical humanities for infectious diseases were permeated. The course was offered in the second semester of the second year of the university, reaching the goal of the early practice and early clinical exposure, improving the students' voluntary learning ability and interest. The course provided a thorough grounding for the following bridge course and clinical course, gradually cultivates students' clinical competency.
