An analysis on the implementation status and countermeasures of undergraduate preceptorship in medical colleges in China

Abstract: The undergraduate preceptorship serves as a complement and development to the traditional talent cultivation model. The implementation of the undergraduate preceptorship in domestic medical colleges has achieved certain effects over the years, but there are still some unresolved issues. This paper adopts the method of text analysis, taking into consideration the current situation of the implementation of the undergraduate preceptorship in domestic medical colleges, and sorts out the key links in the full process of the implementation of the undergraduate preceptorship, including determining the type of tutor, building a tutor database,process management and supervision, and effect evaluation and incentive. At the same time, it summarizes the existing problems such as unclear positioning and responsibilities of tutors, unreasonable teacher-student ratio, and imperfect assessment and evaluation system, and puts forward measures for improvement, such as clarifying the responsibilities of tutors, building an excellent team of tutors, improving the assessment and incentive mechanism, and innovating the interactive model.
