Abstract: In the era of intelligent healthcare, constructing an artificial intelligence(AI)general course in medical undergraduates, empowering medical education, is helpful in the cultivating composite high-level medical talents and ultimately serving the vision of a healthy China. This article takes the artificial intelligence general course offered by Peking University Health Science Center to undergraduates as an example to explore the design and implementation. 85 students who took the general course of artificial intelligence from 2021 to 2023 were selected as the research subjects.and the teaching effectiveness was evaluated through questionnaire surveys and teacher-student discussions. The results showed that out of 85 students, 83(97.6%) students believed that the course could improve the knowledge structure, 80(94.1%) students recognized the teaching method, 78(91.8%) students believed that the course could stimulate interest in artificial intelligence, and 80(94.1%) students believed that the course would be helpful for future professional learning. It can be seen that offering artificial intelligence general courses during the undergraduate stage has been widely recognized by students, and can provide reference for other medical colleges.
