Abstract: The global health challenges such as pandemics, non-communicable diseases and mental diseases, as well as the ever-increasing need of adopting scientific and technological innovations, makes interdisciplinary collaborations especially important for the development of health services. In recent years, as China's medical and healthcare industry continues to develop at a rapid speed, the tension between interdisciplinary talent training and industry demand is becoming more and more obvious, resulting in an urgency for the cultivation of interdisciplinary talents. Tsinghua University's training program for interdisciplinary talents in clinical medicine came into being under this background. This article discusses the necessity and current situation of cultivating interdisciplinary talents of medicine and engineering, as well as the preliminary exploration and innovative training model of School of Clinical Medicine, Tsinghua University in the cultivation of medical interdisciplinary talents, focusing on innovative training mode design and curriculum system construction.
