Application and thinking of online case-based learning in maternal and child health care

Abstract: Under the “regular epidemic prevention and control” circumstance, online courses are becoming the mainstream of teaching method gradually. Case-based learning can promote the communication between students and teachers through cases, enhance students' ability to find and solve problems, and bridge the gap between theory and practice. Based on the previous research, this study discusses the practical process of the design, implementation and teaching effect evaluation of online case-based learning in the course of maternal and child health in the Department of Maternal and Child Health of the School of Public Health of Peking University, and makes corresponding reflections on the characteristics of online case-based learning in enhancing the communication between teachers and students, improving students' learning ability and teamwork ability. It puts forward some suggestions to improve the design of case discussion and gradually add the content of teaching topics.
