Abstract: The cultivation of clinical medical graduate students in gynecology and obstetrics has the characteristics of strong specialization and high requirement of clinical practice skills. Under the “dual track” training mode, it needs to invest a lot of time in clinical practice, and there are some problems, such as less time for scientific research and weak awareness of scientific research. Based on the importance of scientific research capacity, combined with the current situation of planning and training for clinical medical graduate students in gynecology and obstetrics, this study presented the current challenges existed in the standardized training of clinical medical graduate students in gynecology and obstetrics, and discussed the potential methods to improve the capacity building of scientific research including optimized training methods and reasonable adjustment of training schedule.
