Exploration of the practice of project-based model in faculty development programs in medical university

Abstract: The project-based model is widely used abroad in faculty development which trains faculty members to be Education Scholars. In this article, the authors cited Harvard Macy Institute, Medical Education Scholars Program, Wisconsin Teaching Fellows & Scholars Program, and Foundation for Advancement of International Medical Education and Research as the examples. In the meantime, this paper introduced Southern Medical University which attempted project-based model in China to provide an example of the faculty development for medical university in China.
