Qualification system of dietitian and education of nutrition in Japan

Abstract: The Japanese qualification system and training for dietitian are comparatively developed, and their experience certainly merits our reference. In this article, we mainly introduced the Japanese nutrition legislation, the training system of registered dietitian, the national examination of registered dietitian, and continuing education system of registered dietitian in Japan. We also took Niigata University of Health and Welfare as an example to introduce the Japanese undergraduate education programe for dietitian. This article provided important reference for the development and improvement of the registered dietitian system in our country.
