Research on the relationship between communication abilities and physical exercises of medical students

Abstract: Objective To analyze the difference of communication abilities of medical students who participate different sports, the paper explored the influence of physical exercises on improving medical students’ communication abilities, in order to provide reference for the adjustment and optimization of the physical education in medical colleges and universities.Methods A questionnaire survey was conducted to investigate the basic situation, sports participation, communication skills and listening skills of 384 medical students in a medical college in Beijing.Results The medical students who participates in the difficult and beautiful event group such as aerobics and the group competitive antagonistic sports such as football and basketball and net competitive antagonistic sports such as badminton and table tennis showed significant better communication abilities than that of the medical students have no physical exercises.Conclusions The medical students who participate physical exercises have significant better communication abilities than those have no physical exercises. Difficult and beautiful event group such like aerobics and group competitive antagonistic sports such as football and basketball have a high likelihood of significantly improving medical students’ communication abilities.
