Abstract: Objective To evaluate the effects of seminar teaching in clinical noviciate of internal medicine. Methods Clinical medicine undergraduates were randomly apportioned to a experimental group (n=15) with seminar teaching method, and a control group (n=15) with traditional teaching method. Mini-clinical evaluation exercise(Mini-CEX) ,Chinese version of critical thinking disposition inventory (CTDI-CV) and active learning state (ALS) scale were used to evaluate the teaching effects. Results In the experimental group, medical students' scores of each index of Mini-CEX, CTDI-CV (exception of critical thinking ability self-confidence and cognitive maturity) and ALS scale were significantly higher than those before clinical noviciate and those of the control group. Conclusions Implementing seminar teaching in clinical noviciate of internal medicine is conducive to improve clinical practice ability, clinical thinking ability and autonomous learning ability of medical students.
