Comparison and analysis of the integrated curriculum between Harvard Medical School and Peking University Health Science Center

Abstract: According to the needs of social development and the laws of medical education development, Harvard Medical School and Peking University Health Science Center implemented curriculum integration step by step. In the Pathway and New Era curriculum, Harvard Medical School and Peking University Health Science Center, based on their teaching resources, environments and student characteristics, have constructed the integrated curriculum and teaching management system, proposed matching teaching methods and assessments, and etc. This paper compared and analyzed the integrated curriculum between the two medical schools from curriculum framework, teaching and assessment and curriculum organization and management, in order to inform medical schools for their similar undertakings.
