Abstract: The education of audiology and speech language pathology started relatively late in our country, and the personnel training is mainly at the undergraduate stage. In 2015, Sichuan University was approved to offer it, and admitted undergraduate students at the same time which is the earliest Double First-Class university in China to offer undergraduate programs (Bachelor of Science). This article reviews the training objectives, curriculum system, professional teachers, international exchange study and development after graduation of the undergraduates majoring in audiology and speech language pathology at West China Hospital, Sichuan University. Deep reflection has been put forward on educating undergraduate students in the future. In order to achieve long-term development in the field of audiology and speech language pathology, graduate education still needs to be further improved to ensure the integration between undergraduate and graduate training, as well as to establish the national standards for qualified certifications of audiologists and speech-language pathologists.
