Construction of ecological translation teaching model for English majors in medical universities

Abstract: Educational ecology focuses on the overall effect of education and its ecological environment and emphasizes the dynamic balance as well as the co-evolution of various factors in teaching practice. The survey is conducted on the current condition of translation course of the English major in Fujian Medical University. From the perspective of educational ecology, the author constructs the ecological translation teaching model for English majors in medical universities from aspects of teachingObjectives, teaching contents, teaching resources, teaching activities and the teaching evaluation system. It's hoped that the research can advocate the balance and sustainable development of translation teaching system, provide reference to the construction of translation curricula for English majors in medical universities and help to cultivate talents who meet the market demand for medical translation.
