The construction value fulcrum and realization path of medical professionalism

Abstract: During the period of constant confluence of Chinese and Western Thoughts, how to keep tradition of China and how to penetrate traditional culture into education of professionalism development is a key element in medical education. We need to construct a Chinese medical professionalism framwork based on Chinese discourse system and ideological system. This paper analyzes the realistic meaning of medical professionalism. The purpose is to explain the necessity of constructing medical professionalism with cultural consciousness as the fulcrum of value. This paper analyzes the “Debate on Morality and Benefit” of the Important Components of Chinese Traditional Culture, to explore the feasible way to realize the construction of medical professionalism by “the symbiosis of morality and benefit”; so we could a new space of medical professionalism development focusing on the unity of morality and benefit.
