Abstract: In the current context featuring diversified textbook construction, there are some problems in the textbook construction and selection in higher medical colleges and universities: the quality of textbook is varied between good and bad, the innovation of textbook is reduced to tokenism, and the textbook is increasingly voluminous and costly. These problems have led to our further thinking on the textbook construction and selection in higher medical colleges and universities: putting more emphasis on the textbook construction in higher medical colleges and universities by carrying out in-depth research on textbooks; implementing hierarchical management of textbook construction to facilitate the formation of mainstream textbooks; establishing a scientific quality evaluation system for textbooks; establishing supervision and restraint mechanisms to standardize the selection process of textbooks.
