The exploration and effect on the reform of the training model of eight-year medical program

Abstract: Sichuan University established the innovation class of eight-year medical program in 2008 and actively explored training model of medical talents. In order to understand the training effect of innovation class and provide the basis for relevant reforms, the academic performance and academic interest of students in the innovation class of eight-year medical program in Sichuan University in the past decade were analyzed. Compared with the traditional training model, students in the innovation class have better academic performance, and they have better performance in terms of professional interests, self-planning, professional confidence and self-evaluation. The innovation class model is worth further exploration.
