Cross-cultural adaptation of TeamSTEPPS Teamwork Attitudes Questionnaire and TeamSTEPPS Teamwork Perceptions Questionnaire

Abstract: The World Health Organization guideline about translation and adaptation of instruments was followed, including forward translation, expert panel, back-translation, pre-testing and cognitive interviewing, to implement a cross-culturally adapt TeamSTEPPS Teamwork Attitudes Questionnaire (T-TAQ) and TeamSTEPPS Teamwork Perceptions Questionnaire (T-TPQ) into Chinese version. After cross cultural adaptation, the Chinese version of T-TAQ and T-TPQ were similar to the original English version in terms of conceptual and semantic equivalence, and adapted to Chinese culture and language custom, which could be applicable to the teamwork assessment of medical personnel in China.
